Professional Imagery
For my job at the Student Success Center, I was in charge of taking some photographs for the new and updated website. These photos are meant to feature some of the different types of services we offer, and comradery overall.
PARANOIA
For my photography final where we were challenged to compose a set of photographs that demonstrated technical skills and visual interest, I made use of bright colors in order to add a high sense of contrast and visual interest. I also incorporated light painting to demonstrate my technical skill with the camera, and to create a sense of movement that adds to the feeling of paranoia that I want the photographs to convey. I decided to shoot at night to draw out the lights from the neon masks as the primary focus, and in a suburban area to create a message that there are strange things everywhere, and you never know where something strange could be hiding. Lastly, I made use of Procreate to add lines and sketches with a neon light brush to add to the chaotic feeling that instills paranoia.
